Common NameChloroflavonin
Descriptionchlorflavonin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 8-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C8 atom of the flavonoid backbone. Thus, chlorflavonin is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. chlorflavonin is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. A dihydroxyflavone that is flavone substituted by a chloro group at position 3', hydroxy groups at positions 5 and 2' and methoxy groups at positions 3, 7 band 8 respectively.
